Who is the Founder Woman?
Founder Patricia Greißl began searching with a sense of urgency for a technical tool that would allow people to clean their air medical-grade anywhere, anytime. It was a major concern for her to mitigate the invisible threat from the air and better protect herself and others without the constant topic of conversation that increasingly divided conversation partners at the beginning of the pandemic. Until immunity would be achieved, she wanted to carry a personal gadget with her that would automatically maximize protection wherever she would go. A technical solution that would allow her to flexibly take control of her air quality and bring a smile to others' faces in the process.
She grew up just south of Munich and comes from an area that, by global standards, has excellent air quality. At the same time, she gained extensive experience with airborne hazards in her younger years. In 2007, she experienced days in California when the particulate matter pollution from fires was so high that she was not allowed to leave buildings. In 2009, she was there when the H1N1 virus (swine flu) broke out locally in Hong Kong. Shortly after, she experienced a summer in Beijing when the sun shone like a pale fireball behind a thick layer of particulate matter, skin began to itch on rainy days, and eyes had to be protected at all costs. And that was despite the fact that countless taxis, cars, and electric scooters were already rolling through the streets at the time. A year later, she survived a severe case of mosquito air transmitted dengue fever in India. There she also learned the art of natural survival. She still remembers the moment she returned to Germany in 2010, when she took her first deep breath and the fresh, clean air awakened her body and mind.
Over the past few decades, Patricia's real estate job career has brought her to the insides of many different buildings. She was familiar with the existing and missing air conditioning, air filtering and air circulation systems. She experienced the pandemic firsthand in her daily life, but her awareness of the healthy air to breathe was already there.
